Meet the Mitchell's

Hello, thank you for visiting our site!

My name is Amber and I am the owner here at Mitchell Family Farm along with my husband Seth. We are the proud parents of 5 little ones, two boys and three girls ranging in ages from 7 to 1 year old.  They have a deep love for animals and the land just like mommy and daddy and love being by our sides as we work around the farm.

The land has been in Seth's family since 1986 when his parents moved here and started a dairy farm. In 2012 Seth took over and operated the dairy for the next 6 years. Earlier this year (2018) we started realizing that dairy farming alone was not going to be able to support our family, the money being paid for milk was not nearly enough to sustain us. After many long days and nights of conversation and meetings we decided to sell our milk cows, retain our heifers and calves, and explore ways of diversifying our farm. I started applying for jobs off the farm, Seth tilled our biggest garden to date, I ordered our seeds and here we are!

We have big goals and hopes for our future and are excited about the dreams we have for the farm! We hope you will stop by, try our products, and we can earn your trust as your local source for sustainably grown products.
